Custom Stone Fabrication.
Where Precision Meets Craftsmanship
Every countertop we install is fabricated in our own New Hampshire shop — not outsourced, not rushed. Using a combination of CNC technology and skilled hand finishing, we transform raw stone slabs into the centerpiece of your home.
Why It Matters
In-House Fabrication Means Better Control — and Better Results
When you hire a countertop company that outsources fabrication, your project passes through extra hands — and extra opportunities for miscommunication, delays, and quality issues. At Precision Granite Works, we fabricate every countertop in our own NH shop. That means one team, one standard of quality, and direct accountability from start to finish.
Our fabrication team works from the digital template captured in your home, using CNC bridge saw technology to cut stone with sub-millimeter precision. Every edge is then hand-finished and polished by our craftspeople — because the details that make a countertop truly beautiful can't be automated.
The result is a countertop that fits perfectly, looks stunning, and is built to last for decades.

What Our Fabrication Work Looks Like
A few details from real NH projects show the kind of precision cutting and edge work our fabrication team delivers on every job.

Our Fabrication Process
How We Turn a Raw Slab Into Your Countertop
From the moment your digital template arrives in our shop to the moment your countertop is ready for delivery, every step is performed with care and precision.
Digital Template Import
Your digital template file from the site visit is imported directly into our fabrication software. Every dimension, cutout location, and edge specification is programmed in before we touch the stone.
Slab Layout & Vein Matching
We lay out the template on your selected slab to optimize the appearance of natural veining and movement. For large or multi-piece projects, we carefully plan seam placement and vein continuity across sections.
CNC Cutting
Our CNC bridge saw cuts your stone to the precise profile defined by your digital template, handling straight runs, curves, and intricate cutouts with consistent accuracy.
Sink & Appliance Cutouts
Sink, cooktop, and faucet cutouts are routed using precision equipment. We work from your actual sink or appliance specs — or from the dimensions you provide — to ensure a perfect fit.
Edge Profile Shaping & Polishing
Your chosen edge profile is shaped using diamond-tooled profile machines and then hand-polished to a consistent finish. Edge quality is one of the most visible aspects of a countertop — we treat it accordingly.
Surface Finishing & Quality Inspection
The full surface is cleaned, finished, and inspected under controlled lighting. We check for any chips, scratches, or inconsistencies before approving a piece for delivery. If it doesn't meet our standard, it doesn't leave the shop.

What NH Customers Say
The Quality Speaks for Itself
"The fabrication quality on our Super White quartzite island was outstanding. The seam is practically invisible, the edge profile was exactly what we asked for, and every cutout was perfect. You can tell this team takes real pride in the work."
"I was nervous about the waterfall edge on our island — it's a complex fabrication and I'd heard stories of it going wrong. Precision Granite Works had clearly done it many times. The mitered joint is seamless and the stone flows perfectly over the edge."
"As a general contractor I've used a lot of fabricators. Precision Granite Works is at the top of the list — precise work, on time, and they communicate clearly throughout. My clients are always happy with the results."

Frequently Asked Questions
Stone Fabrication FAQ
Common questions from New Hampshire homeowners and contractors about our fabrication process.
Do you fabricate countertops in-house or outsource to a third party?
Everything is fabricated in our own shop in Manchester, New Hampshire. We don't outsource to third-party fabricators. That means one team controls your project from template to installation — no handoffs, no miscommunication, no gaps in accountability. You get a consistent standard of quality from start to finish.
What technology do you use to cut stone?
We use a CNC bridge saw — the industry standard for precision stone cutting. The bridge saw cuts from the digital template file captured at your home, achieving consistent accuracy across straight cuts, curves, and complex layouts. After cutting, edges are shaped and polished by hand using diamond-tooled profile equipment.
How long does stone fabrication take?
Most standard residential countertop projects are fabricated and ready for installation within 7–10 business days of the template appointment. Large or complex projects may take a few days longer. We'll give you a specific fabrication timeline when your project is confirmed.
What materials do you fabricate?
We fabricate granite, quartz, marble, quartzite, and soapstone. Each material has different cutting, finishing, and handling requirements — our team works with all of them daily. We'll advise you on the best fabrication approach for your chosen material.
What edge profiles do you offer?
We offer a full range of edge profiles including eased, beveled, bullnose, half bullnose, ogee, dupont/cove, and waterfall/mitered edges, among others. You'll review edge samples with us before fabrication begins. Some premium profiles require additional time — we'll note this when you confirm your selection.
How do you handle seams on large countertop installations?
Seam placement is determined during the template appointment in collaboration with you. We plan seams to minimize visibility — placing them in low-traffic areas, at sink cutouts, or along natural breaks in the layout. For natural stone, we also plan seams to preserve vein continuity across pieces, so the stone reads as a unified surface.
Can you match veining across multiple pieces of natural stone?
Yes. For projects that require multiple pieces of the same slab, we do a book-match layout at the template stage — positioning each piece on the slab to preserve the natural flow of veining across seams. This is one of the most important details in a high-end natural stone installation, and it's part of our standard process.
Do you fabricate for builders and contractors as well as homeowners?
Absolutely. We fabricate for custom home builders, general contractors, kitchen and bath designers, and remodeling companies throughout New Hampshire. Trade accounts receive dedicated project management and scheduling. Contact us to discuss trade pricing and volume projects.
