Because every slab is unique, we plan seam placement around natural veining and confirm sink and cooktop cutout locations during the visit. Overhangs on islands are checked for adequate support before fabrication.
Engineered slabs give us consistent color and pattern, so templating focuses on precise cutout planning and confirming a clean fit against your walls — especially on large islands where slab size matters.
Like granite, quartzite is a natural stone, so we account for slab movement and plan seams carefully. Its extra hardness also factors into how we plan cutouts and edge layout for fabrication.
Marble slabs are handled carefully during templating, and we talk through veining direction, seam placement, and where staining or etching is most likely so you know what to expect before fabrication.
Soapstone is a softer stone, so we're extra careful with sink and cutout planning and confirm edge details that hold up well to daily use before the file goes to fabrication.
