How We Work
Our Process
From your first conversation to the moment we walk you through your finished countertops — every step is guided by precision, transparency, and genuine care for your home.
Step by Step
From Your First Call to a Kitchen You Love
Six clear steps, no surprises, and a team that communicates throughout. Here's exactly what to expect when you work with us.
Initial Consultation & Free Quote
Your project begins with a conversation. Contact us by phone, email, or visit our Epsom showroom to discuss your vision, space requirements, and budget. Our team listens carefully and provides honest guidance — no pressure, no sales tactics.
Stone Selection at Our Showroom
Visit our Epsom showroom to browse hundreds of granite, quartz, marble, quartzite, and soapstone slabs in person. Seeing and touching the stone is the only way to make a truly confident selection. Bring cabinet samples, flooring samples, or paint chips — our design consultants will help you envision exactly how each option will look in your home.
Precision Digital Templating
Once you've selected your stone and confirmed your order, our templating team visits your home to take exact measurements using digital templating technology. We capture every wall variation, appliance location, sink position, and cabinet anomaly — ensuring your countertops will fit perfectly before fabrication begins. Nothing is left to guesswork.
Custom Fabrication in Our NH Shop
With your digital template, our skilled fabricators craft your countertops in our Epsom shop. We use a CNC bridge saw for precision cutting and hand-finishing for edge profiles and detail work. Every completed piece is inspected before it leaves our shop. If it doesn't meet our standards, it doesn't go in your home.
Professional Installation
Our licensed, insured installation crew arrives on time, protects your floors and cabinets throughout the process, and installs your countertops with the precision and care that comes from doing this work every day. We complete all sink cutouts, connections, and caulking — and we don't leave until everything is perfect.
Walkthrough, Care Guidance & Ongoing Support
We don't leave until you're completely satisfied. At the end of every installation, we walk through every surface with you, answer any questions, and provide stone-specific care and maintenance guidance. Our team is always available by phone for questions that come up after we've left.
"The process was incredibly smooth from first call to installed countertops. They explained every step clearly, showed up exactly when they said they would, and the result is beautiful. Exactly how this should work."
"What struck me most was how clearly they communicated throughout the process. I always knew what was happening and when. No surprises — which, with contractors, is genuinely rare."
Common Questions
Process FAQ
How long does the entire countertop process take from start to finish?
For most residential projects in New Hampshire, the process takes 1–2 weeks from your first contact to installed countertops. Specifically: consultation and quote (same or next day), stone selection at our showroom (your timeline), templating visit (1–2 hours at your home), fabrication in our shop (3–5 business days), and installation day (2–5 hours). We'll give you a specific timeline after your consultation.
Do I have to come to the showroom to select my stone?
We strongly encourage it — but it's not strictly required. Photographs and screen images don't capture the depth, texture, and true color of natural stone. Making a significant purchase decision based on a photo is a risk we'd rather you avoid. That said, if you already know a specific material or brand you want, we can work remotely for the initial quote stage. We'll always be honest if we think you should see it in person first.
What is digital templating and why does it matter?
Digital templating uses laser measurement technology to capture the precise dimensions of your kitchen or bathroom. Unlike old-school manual tape measurements, digital templates account for every out-of-square wall, every slightly uneven cabinet, and every millimeter of variation in your space. The result is countertops that fit perfectly from the moment we bring them in the door — not countertops that need to be shimmed and ground down on site to fit.
What happens if I'm not satisfied after installation?
We don't leave until you are completely satisfied. That's not marketing language — it's our operational standard. At the end of every installation, we walk through every surface with you. If anything is not right, we address it before leaving. If an issue surfaces after we've gone, call us directly and we'll come back. Our satisfaction guarantee is the foundation of our 30+ year reputation in New Hampshire.
